At what age would you think it's ok to give kids fake meat (veggie dogs, ect)?

We're making a crock pot recipe we found online that calls for 1/2 cup white wine. I know when you cook with alcohol, it cooks out. So is it okay to give the boy some of the meal?

Here's the recipe if you're curious :)

I've posted here a few times before about my booby baby who didn't care much for solids. She never ate more than a tablespoon worth of solids a day... and that was on a GOOD day (usually more like a teaspoon). It was starting to seem like she'd never be all that interested........ and now all that's changed!! Seemingly out of nowhere, about a week ago (at the age of EXACTLY 14 months old), she finally went full force into solids! I can't even keep up with her, I swear she eats more than me!! I'm still kind of in shock by it all, but it's so exciting! She eats ANYthing and EVERYthing I put in front of her, and always wants more. Even vegetables. My old fear of "maybe she just hates healthy food" has turned out to be wayyy wrong! :)

Alice always makes huge decisions on the 24th of every month.. which was the day she was born. It's a bit odd. This is a baby who decided to be born on her exact due date.... held her head up for the first time at exactly two months old, started walking (and dancing!) on the very morning of her first birthday, and now decides she LOVES solids at exactly 14 months. I swear she sets goals for the 24th of every month... I love my brilliant babe!

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to all the people who told me not to worry about how little she was eating! I'm so glad I stuck with BLW. She definitely seems to finally appreciate being able to stuff herself to her heart's content! :)
